Kevin Durant scored 28 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder held off a late rally by the Orlando Magic for a 101-98 victory.

Russell Westbrook had 20 points, 12 rebounds and six assists and Jeremy Lamb scored 16 points off of the bench.

Arron Afflalo led a balanced Magic attack, in which all five starters scored in double figures, with 25 points. Nikola Vucevic had 13 points and 16 rebounds while rookie Victor Oladipo chipped in 16 points.

The Thunder seized momentum with an 11-1 run late in the first half and seemingly put the game away early in the fourth quarter on a Derek Fisher three-pointer that gave them a 94-78 lead with just 7:26 to play. The Magic fought back, using a 20-6 run capped by a steal from Jameer Nelson when Oladipo and Maurice Harkless successfully trapped Westbrook that led to a Harkless jam. On the next possession, Durant made only one of two free throws, but Glen Davis badly missed a terrible three-point attempt and the Magic couldn’t get a shot off after a jump ball before time expired.

The Thunder are now 19-4 and a perfect 12-0 at home. The Magic are 7-17.
