The Oakland Raiders started off the game against the Kansas City Chiefs in a bit of a hole.
They allowed Alex Smith and the Chiefs to pick up two touchdowns on screens to Jamaal Charles that went for 30 plus yards and an interception for a touchdown. Starting quarterback Matt McGloin and this Raiders team is starting to crawl back after picking up a huge touchdown to cut into Kansas City’s lead.
Oakland’s running back Rashard Jennings helped out with two, one yard rushing touchdowns in the second quarter. McGloin later connected with wide receiver Andre Holmes to bring the Raiders within 11 points of one of the top teams in the conference.
The game isn’t out of reach yet, but Oakland needs to continue to stop the Chiefs and get the ball back in McGloin’s hands after that drive went for 74 yards.
Andre Holmes is the leading receiving for this Raiders team. He has four receptions for 84 yards today including his only touchdown reception of the year.
He has a total of 322 receiving yards on the year.
