Vikings’ Greg Jennings with a 57-yard touchdown catch (GIF)
By Mike Dyce
The Minnesota Vikings are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles with out their two best running backs, Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart. Fortunately for the Vikings they’re playing a Eagles defense that is one of the league’s worst against the pass. They took advantage of it early in the game with a big scoring play.
The Vikings and quarterback Matt Cassel went deep to wide receiver Greg Jennings. He got behind the defense and the ball fell into his hands in mid stride and the defenders never had a chance to catch him.
That gave the Vikings a 7-0 lead in the game and they were leading 7-3 at the end of the first quarter.
