San Antonio at Phoenix final score: Spurs beat Suns 108-101
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Phoenix Suns 108-101 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The Spurs improved to 20-5, and the Suns fell to 14-10.
The Suns tied the game at 93 after a Markieff Morris free throw with 6:11 to go in the fourth quarter. Phoenix didn’t take advantage of a lapse in the Spurs’ offense, but led by two points after a Miles Plumlee two-pointer with 5:09 left.
In the final three minutes, the Spurs would go on a 13-6 run, and win the game 108-101. The run was powered by nine points from Manu Ginobili, including a perfect four of four from the charity stripe.
San Antonio top performers: Manu Ginobili scored 24 points along with six rebounds and seven assists. Tim Duncan netted 17 points, collected 13 rebounds, and blocked three shots. Kawhi Leonard scored 14 points and grabbed six boards. Patty Mills finished with 12 points and four assists.
Phoenix top performers: Channing Frye scored 22 points and collected five rebounds. Goran Dragic had 18 points and four assists. Eric Bledsoe netted 15 points along with five rebounds and seven assists. Miles Plumlee registered a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Markieff Morris finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
Next game: San Antonio travels to Oakland to take on the Warriors at 10:30 pm ET on Thursday. The game will be aired live on TNT. Phoenix travels to Denver to take on the Nuggets at 9 pm ET on Friday.
