The decision to trade for Carson Palmer earlier on in the year seems to have been a great decision by this Arizona Cardinals front office.
This move seems to have brought Larry Fitzgeraldās career back on track after posting a disappointing 798 receiving and four touchdowns season in 2012. This year Fitzgerald has 823 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns with two games left.
He could very well reach a career high in touchdownās, his highest being 13 in 2009 with Kurt Warner under center. Now the Cardinals are coming off one of their most intense football games theyāve played all year against the Tennessee Titans.
A game that they almost let slip away.
Fitzgerald recorded six receptions for 49 receiving yards with no touchdowns that game, while Palmer threw for 231 passing yards and one touchdown.
Now theyāre preparing to take on the top two teams in their division in the last two weeks of the regular season. First up will be the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Theyāre not officially out of the playoff hunt just yet, but theyāll more than likely be fighting for a spot against the San Francisco 49ers depending on how things turn out this weekend. With the team getting their game plan together, both wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and quarterback Carson Palmer returned to practice but were limited.
