No, that’s not Masahiro Tanaka in the picture but that happens to be the man who is deciding on whether to post him or not.

The clock is still ticking and teams are waiting to place their bids in on the right handed Japanese phenom who is hoping to break into the Majors just like Yu Darvish a year ago. Tanaka has already drawn some interest from almost every team in the league but only a handful will stand out.

Now there was supposedly a report coming out of Japan that the Rakuen Golden Eagles weren’t going to post Masahiro Tanaka this year. But according to CJ Nitkowski on Twitter, that report coming out of Japan is completely false.

Hopefully a decision will be made soon and I hope it’s the right one. This league could really use another talented pitcher like Tanaka.

Could you imagine the Darvish/Tanaka match up? I just got goosebumps!
