Last weekend, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles helped his team and many fantasy football owners cruise to victory with an incredible five touchdown performance against the Oakland Raiders.

Charles did most of his damage as a receiving threat out of the backfield, as he torched the Raiders defense early and often.

While the NFL world was praising Charles for his great performance in Week 16, the Chiefs running back apparently didn’t view his performance as a big deal. At least that is what his teammates are saying about the humble back.

Jamaal’s just a goofball,” offensive tackle Donald Stephenson said, via the Wichita Eagle. “He’s that type of guy _ humble, a cool dude. You look at his expressions and body language on the sideline, you’d think he might even have been struggling. He’s just chilling on the sideline and I had to think, like, ‘Wait, he had like five touchdowns.”‘

It would be easy for a player to get caught up in his individual performance, but Charles’ reaction shows us all why he is a loved player from his teammates and fans alike.
