It looked like the Oakland Raiders were just a reception away from cutting into San Diego’s lead late in the fourth quarter but failed to do so.

Veteran fullback Marcel Reece went out as a receiver and was in the perfect spot to bring in the pass from starting quarterback Matt McGloin.

Reece was able to shake free of the defender long enough to get himself under the desperate pass from his quarterback. It looked as if he was going to be able to bring it in but let the ball slip through his grasp as he tried to pull it into his chest.

The ball dropped to the ground, the Raiders turned the ball over on downs which allowed San Diego to just take a knee to end the ball game.

McGloin had 206 passing yards and one interception. The pass that was dropped by Reece would have been his only touchdown pass of the game.
