The Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars were in a tough battle Sunday afternoon that featured excellent performances by Shonn Greene and Chris Johnson.

When Greene was brought in by the Titans, almost everybody knew Chris Johnson would be upset about the decision. But after awhile, things have stayed in Johnson’s favor as he has nearly 1,000 yards on the year. Both running backs were about 10 yards or so from breaking 100 rushing yards each against the Jaguars.

Only Shonn Greene was able to find the end zone but both men were able to move the chains 10 times in the victory.

Place kicker Rob Bironas put the Titans on the board first with a 45 yard field goal with nine minutes left in the first quarter. After allowing Tennessee to put up the first points of the game, Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback Chad Henne found veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis for a four yard touchdown to take a four point lead.

Henne had himself a great game despite losing by four points. Henne completed 24 of 34 passing attempts for 237 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

He found Mike Brown for a seven yard touchdown pass in the second quarter that made it 13-6 after Bironas hit his second field goal from over 50 plus yards.

Chad was able to spread the ball out evenly as he had five receivers who had over 20 yards. Leading receivers for the Jaguars were Mike Brown and Marcedes Lewis.

Brown had 70 receiving yards off five receptions for a touchdown, while Marcedes had four receptions for 50 receiving yards and his touchdown in the first quarter.

Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick finished the game 17 of 26 for 181 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. His only touchdown of the game went to wide receiver Nate Washington.

Washington had himself a great game as he caught six passes for 117 receiving yards.

Running back Chris Johnson had 22 carries for 90 yards with his longest run being 12 while Shonn Greene picked up 91 yards off 19 carries for a touchdown. Shonn’s longest rush of the game was 29 yards.

George Wilson picked up off Chad Henne while Alan Ball picked off Fitzpatrick.

Next week the Tennessee Titans will host the Houston Texans at home and the Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts.
