The No. 6 seed in the AFC Wild Card race will come down to Week 17 and the Baltimore Ravens have the greatest opportunity to earn the spot. Baltimore can earn the spot with a win or a loss, but they will need some help either way.
If all of the teams in playoff contention win, the Ravens will be the team that extends their season past the regular season, but there are a few other ways that the Ravens can continue their quest to defend their Super Bowl title.
Here are the scenarios that would lead to a playoff berth for the Ravens:
- Baltimore Ravens win over Cincinnati Bengals + San Diego Chargers loss to Kansas City Chiefs
- Baltimore Ravens win over Cincinnati Bengals + Miami Dolphins loss to New York Jets
- Baltimore Ravens win over Cincinnati Bengals + San Diego Chargers lots to Kansas City Chiefs + Miami Dolphins loss to New York Jets +Pittsburgh Steelers loss to Cleveland Browns
Baltimore can also earn a postseason berth with a loss, if the Chargers, Dolphins and Steelers all lose.
