Carolina Panthers won’t have wide receiver Steve Smith in the season finale. Head coach Ron Rivera said that Smith has a PCL sprain and is listed as day-to-day.
Rivera also added that Smith is “highly doubtful” for the season finale. It is expected that wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr will take his place in the line up.
Good news on Steve Smith! Rivera says he has a PCL sprain and will be treated week to week. He is highly doubtful for Sunday's game.

Rivera says @TedGinnJr_19 will likely take Steve Smith's spot vs. Atlanta. @domenik_hixon will likely serve as the no.3 receiver.

A year or 3 or 4 ago, I’d have scoffed at Ted Ginn possibly stepping in for Steve Smith. Now, not so funny. He’s really improved nicely.
