Fantasy Basketball: Top Performers from 12/23/13
The NBA got the week off and running with a huge 11-game slate before a quiet Christmas Eve sets us up for the Christmas Day featured games. With so many games and heroes across the league, there were still some who stood out as the best fantasy hoops options. Here’s the best fantasy lines from last night:
LeBron James-Miami Heat
James went off for 38 points in the Heat’s OT win over Atlanta 121-119. In his typically well-rounded effort he added eight board, six assists, and two steals.
Brandon Knight-Milwaukee Bucks
Knight had a huge game as the Bucks fell in overtime. He finished with 26 points on 11-23 shooting with 14 assists and eight rebounds.
Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets
Another big star with a huge effort although his team fell was Dwight Howard who finished with 29 points and 15 boards to go with four assists and a steal. Howard even made nine of his 13 free throws.
Dirk Nowitzki-Dallas Mavericks
Dirk dropped 31 on the Rockets while adding six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. The Mavs got a big road win over Houston behind Nowitzki’s big night.
Lance Stephenson-Indiana Pacers
Stephenson had a big night of his own against the Nets scoring 26 points with seven rebounds, five assists, four three-pointers, and two steals.
Brandon Jennings-Detroit Pistons
Jennings led the Pistons to a big win in Cleveland with a double-double with 21 points and 13 assists. He aded four boards and two steals in his solid 32 minutes for Detroit.
Gordan Heyward-Utah Jazz
While many people had double-doubles, Heyward came closest to a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. He also added four blocks and a steal as the Jazz lost on the road in Memphis.
David Lee-Golden State Warriors
Lee had 28 points on 11-21 shooting from the field and six free throws on six attempts. To go with his 28, he had 10 rebounds and two assists.
Miles Plumlee-Phoenix Suns
Our sleeper of the night is emerging as a solid option as a big man for the Suns and is available in almost half of ESPN leagues. Plumlee had a huge night last night pulling in 20 rebounds as Phoenix romped over the Lakers. To complete his double-double he scored 17 points to go with two blocks and an assist. He had been putting up solid numbers and has scored double-digit rebounds in four of his last five games.
