Houston Texans place Johnathan Joseph on IR
By Jovan Alford
The Houston Texans season is slowly coming to an end. It was an injury riddled season along with changes at quarterback and at head coach. Today, they also made another roster move and that was putting cornerback Johnathan Joseph on IR, this is according to John McClain.
As you see they also put running back Deji Karim on injured reserved and signed two other players to take those roster spots. Joseph was already ruled out for Sunday’s regular season finale as he had a torn ligament in his toe that will require surgery.
This season, Joseph has 47 tackles and only three interceptions. In comparison to last season when the Texans were playing much better, Joseph had 57 tackles and two interceptions.
After this Joseph will be turning 30 and will be owed $7.5 million next season. That is a lot for an older cornerback that is supposed to be a Pro Bowl caliber player at his position.
