The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t practicing on Wednesday, they’re letting their families spend time with loved ones on the holiday. They’re still required to submit a practice report however and estimate what players would’ve done at practice.
Purely guess work and perhaps not very reliable. According to the team, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders would not have practice because of the knee injury suffered in Week 16.
“I’m not 100 percent comfortable planting on it, things of that sort, because of the soreness, so we’re just going to take it day by day,” Sanders said, via Scott Brown of ESPN.com. “At some point I’ve got to make a decision of how comfortable I am, but the good thing is the game is a long way away.”
Sanders has 65 catches for 714 yards this season. There is a very outside shot that the Steelers make the playoffs. It requires a lot of teams to lose though. For Sanders it could be his last game with the team, he is an unrestricted free agent this spring.
“I love it here,” Sanders said. “This is home to me. I hope everything works out for the best.”
