Most fantasy football leagues are wrapped up and in the offseason, but there are still plenty of people with reasons to watch this week even if your team is already in or out of the playoffs. Some owners are still finishing up their regular season-long leagues while many others are playing weekly leagues who are running end-of-the-season specials. However you’re playing this week, these are the five matchups where I think teams could go off for big weeks based on matchup and current form. Many times stockpiling players on high-scoring teams can pay off, so take note of these matchups to attack in week 17:

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys

The Eagles offense put on a show last week against the Bears and have scored more points than any team in the NFL in the last three weeks. When you combine the potent Eagles offense with their matchup against the Dallas defense which has allowed the third-most points in the league the last three weeks, expect plenty of fireworks to ensue.

Dallas’s defense has been demolished by injury and the Eagles offense playing at such a fast pace is the last thing they want to face this Sunday. The Cowboys pulled out a win last week even though they allowed almost 300 yards of offense to the Redskins in the rain in Washington. Dallas most likely won’t have Tony Romo for this week’s game, but with their defense struggling so much it may not matter since Philadelphia’s going to put up so many points. No team has allowed more yards to their opponent this season than the Cowboys allowing almost 420 yards per game.

The Eagles obviously have plenty to play for with the win-and-your-in Sunday Night Football matchup giving them the chance to host a first round playoff game next week. I expect a big game in big D for the Eagles with LeSean McCoy, Nick Foles, and DeSean Jackson all posting big games as the Eagles play their way to the NFC East Division title.
