It has been announced that J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans has won the fan voting for the Pro Bowl in the Defensive End category. He earned 409,980 fan votes since the voting started.

Watt joins only two more teammates in the top 10 of fan voting for their respective positions. From ESPN,

"A season removed from having nine players go to the Pro Bowl, though, only two other Texans even cracked the top 10 in voting. This year, the teams are not selected based on conferences, but will be divided in a draft."

Shane Lechler, the team’s punter, earned enough votes to be the seventh highest punter on the list, with 83,821. Andre Johnson, the team’s number one receiver, is eighth on the list of receivers with 381,170.

Keep in mind that fan voting only counts for one-third of the actual Pro Bowl, but it still counts nonetheless. Another change coming this year is that the Pro Bowl will be a draft style, not just NFC vs. AFC like in past years.
