Before they set out on their journey for another Super Bowl Championship, the AFC East champion New England Patriots had one more task to take care of in the form of the division rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Once again for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and company, that was an easy task as they took care of the Bills on Sunday afternoon, 34-20.
While a majority of the focus seems to always be on the performance of Brady, it was the showing of running back LeGarrette Blount in this one made the biggest statement.
The Oregon product finished the day with 189 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns as he continually gashed the Buffalo defense throughout the game. Stevan Ridley added 74 yards of his own on 12 carries as the Patriots finished with 267 rushing yards in this one.
With the win at home in Foxboro, the Pats finished the year with a perfect 8-0 record at home.
Buffalo ended their first season under Doug Marrone with a 6-10 record as they battled injuries throughout the season, including recurring knee issues with their first-round QB pick, rookie EJ Manuel.
