Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher had a big season. He was the anchor along a line that was decimated by injuries and his career season couldn’t have come at a more opportune time for the team. Unfortunately for the Cowboys it also comes in a contract year for Hatcher which means he’ll get a lot of interest in free agency.

“I’m going to get what I deserve and get what I’m worth,” Hatcher said, via ESPNDallas.com. “Age don’t matter. Whatever. If you ain’t talking what I want, I don’t want to talk to ‘em.”

Hatcher suggested that this is a business and will remove any emotions or emotional attachments from the situation.

“This is business,” Hatcher said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “Emotions are out of it.”

Asked what he thinks about whether he will be back with the Cowboys, Hatcher elaborated.

“I don’t know, man. My feelings are just, I’m numb right now,” Hatcher said. “Whatever happens, happens. It’s up in the air, I really don’t care whether I go or whether I stay. It’d be awesome to stay here and finish my career here, but if not, I have to move on. It’s a business. You can’t get any emotions involved or you’ll find yourself in a bad situation.”
