Did Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall just break news on quartebrack Jay Cutler’s contract? There were reports early in the day that Cutler had signed and according to Chicago Tribune’s Brad Briggs the deal was for seven-years.

While still trying to figure out what the dollar amount was, we got some suggestions.. According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, Cutler’s deal averages $18 million per year for the first three years of the contract. ESPN’s Adam Schefter seemed to back that up and suggested $55.2 million guaranteed.
I don't have final numbers yet but am reporting for @FOXSports that #bears qb jay cutler's new deal averages 18M for 1st 3 yrs, source says

Extension for Lions QB Matthew Stafford came in at $17.6 million per year avg. Bears QB Jay Cutler's 7-yr deal figures to be slightly north.

That is a lot of money for someone who wasn’t a lock to get his job back when he returned from injury. Marshall then tweeted out his congratulations to Jay with the line “7 for 126.” Does that mean seven-years for $126 million? Possibly.
BOOM.. . JAY 7 for 126.. . Congrats now let's go win. #beardown http://t.co/DKGZB40o9T
