A report surfaced during the Sugar Bowl that Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops could have the inside track of the Cleveland Browns job if he wanted it. Today, he was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show and Dan asked him about the Cleveland Browns job. The Youngstown native certainly did not say no or do anything to kill the story.
Bob Stoops to @dpshow re: #Browns "I never acknowledge or deny whether anyone's contacted me or not; this isn't something publicly I do..

..one way or the other; that's something that's always personal and no one ever knows." - Stoops on @dpshow re: #Browns rumors

Dan followed up with a more general question about the NFL in general. Stoops was really working his way through this answer carefully as he was saying it. Again, he did nothing to dismiss the idea.
"That's something you never know what'll come your way; in life things change from year to year, from time to time & right now I love what..

.I'm doing and the people I work with at Oklahoma so right now it isn't something that I'm looking to pursue but I never know down the road"

Between the win against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl despite being a two score underdog and now rumors connecting him to the Browns, maybe Stoops is intersted in the NFL, but he might be angling for a pay raise as well. Given everything that happened last night, Oklahoma may do just that.
