Is Kurt Thomas thinking about a return to the NBA?
By Corey Leahy
Over the course of his 18-year career in the NBA, Kurt Thomas played for nine different teams. However, his season and what many thought was the rest of his career was over when he broke his foot last March. It seems as though Thomas is willing to take another shot in the NBA, if the right team calls. From ESPN,
"“If the right call comes, he’d come back,” Thomas’ agent, Jerry Hicks told The New York Post. “He’d only play for a club that has a legitimate chance at winning a championship. Not the Knicks, I can tell you that.”"
There doesn’t seem to be mutual interest though. Thomas would only be interested in playing again if a team called him or his agent, not the other way around. Hicks has said that he won’t be calling any teams regarding his client.
Teams are able to sign players to 10-day contracts starting today, so it allows interested organizations the chance to test the waters with Thomas.
Do you think Thomas can make another appearance in the NBA, and if so, what team(s) do you think would be interested?
