50 most valuable college football programs according to Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal has released their list of the 50 most valuable college football programs in the country. Not so surprisingly, the Texas Longhorns program is on top the list with a value of $875 million, as much as some of the lowest valued NFL franchises.
To put it in perspective, the Cincinnati Bengals were valued by Forbes at $871 million, $4 million less than Texas. The Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons are amongst the teams valued less than the Longhorns program.
Behind Texas was Notre Dame with a value of $811.5 million. There was a big gap between those two and third place Michigan Wolverines.
The Big Ten has two of the five most valuable with Ohio State Buckeyes following Michigan at fourth. The Florida Gators program was surprisingly the most valuable SEC program. In the Top 10 there were five SEC teams. Alabama came in at seventh followed by Georgia, Auburn and LSU.
The Pac-12’s most valuable team was USC at 15th.
