The folks over at Bovada have been kind enough to send over the latest NBA odds.

In a bit of a surprise, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and not Miami Heat forward LeBron James, is the favorite to win the MVP award.

2013-14 NBA MVP – Odds to Win

Kevin Durant (OKC)                   10/11

LeBron James (MIA)                 11/10

Paul George (IND)                      15/2

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR)        12/1

Durant, who is playing without point guard Russell Westbrook because of another knee surgery, has scored 48 points in two of his last three games. On the season, Durant is averaging 29.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He’s shooting 49.2% from the field, 40.6% from beyond the arc and 88.4% from the free throw line while leading the Thunder to a 27-8 record.

James, who is looking to win his third straight MVP and fifth overall, is putting up 25.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game. The Heat are 27-8.

George has turned into one of the league’s elite players. His Pacers have a league-best 28-6 record and he is averaging 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

‘Aldridge, along with point guard Damian Lillard, have formed one of the league’s best duos and the Trail Blazers are a surprising 26-9. He’s averaging 23.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 blocks per game.
