The Houston Texans fired not one but two head coaches in 2013, technically speaking. After letting go of head coach Gary Kubiak during the season, the team then fired his interim replacement after the season had ended. But while Wade Phillips lobbied for the Houston Texans head coaching job and didn’t get it, that hasn’t stopped him from talking about his former team on a pretty regular basis.

Phillips isn’t being too positive about the Texans though, as he publicly cancelled his stadium suite at Reliant Stadium and then blasted the team for firing him.

In this digital age of social media we live in, these sorts of public outbursts can be expected. Phillips isn’t in the age group we’d think of lashing out on Twitter after being fired, but we shouldn’t be surprised given his personality.

He’ll likely get a job again somewhere in the NFL, but it won’t be anywhere near Houston as his bridges in Texas have been destroyed.
