The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired Mark Dominik in a move some deemed surprising given the fact he had built a lot of young talent on the Bucs roster. But nothing was being done with the talent and it was starting to get traded or cut. Aqib Talib, LaGarrette Blount, Tanard Jackson, Kellen Winslow and others who had made an impact of some kind for the Bucs were jettisoned when they started not working and the same as done to Dominik.
The search for his replacement may soon be over as the National Football Post’s Jason Cole reports that many believe Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel Lionel Vital has the inside track on the job. That’s not to be confused with Stanley Kubrick assistant Leon Vitali.
Word I hear is that #Falcons personnel man Lionel Vital has inside track on #Bucs GM job. Marc Ross, Morocco Brown, Lake Dawson also in mix.

Many names have been mentioned closely with the Buccaneers general manager job, but Vital’s name has started to come up more and more recently which means that there might be a decision coming quickly. Marc Ross has been mentioned, as has Chris Ballard and at this point it’s anyone’s job.
Vital having the inside track though means he’s the favorite and could end up being hired in the coming days.
