Magic at Kings final score: Sacramento rolls 103-83
DeMarcus Cousins had another monster game, finishing with 24 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, three steals and a blocked shot to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 103-83 victory over the Orlando Magic at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California Friday night.
Rudy Gay had another excellent and efficient night, scoring 22 points on eight-of-13 shooting to go with 10 rebounds, five assists and a block. Power forwards Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams added 14 points apiece for the Kings, who made it two straight after upsetting the Portland Trail Blazers 123-119 on Tuesday night.
The Magic were led by Tobias Harris, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Arron Afflalo added 15 points, but shot just three-of-12 from the field. Rookie Victor Oladipo had 13 points while Glen Davis finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Despite facing one of the league’s worst defenses in the Kings, the Magic shot just 33.3% (26-of-78) from the field.
The Magic started the third quarter on a 5-0 run to cut the Kings’ lead to one, but the Kings scored the next eight points, sparking a 24-8 run that blew the game open.
The Kings are now 12-22 while the Magic are 10-26.
