NFL Playoff Bracket 2014: Patriots advance to AFC Championship
By Josh Sanchez
After a double-header of divisional round action in the NFL Playoffs, two of the final four teams have been determined. The Seattle Seahawks were able to punch their ticket to the NFC Championship after edging the New Orleans Saints on Saturday afternoon, before the New England Patriots imposed their will against the Indianapolis Colts to punch their ticket to the AFC title game.
Seattle will now meet the winner of tomorrow’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers, while the Patriots will wait for the winner of the San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos match up.
The Seahawks will be hosting the NFC Championship at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, Jan. 19 at a yet to be determined time.
In the AFC, either New England or Denver will host the conference championship.
If the Broncos come away with the win tomorrow, they will host the Patriots at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on the 19th as well. If San Diego is able to pull off the upset, then the Chargers will travel to Foxboro for a meeting with the Patriots and a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
