In a tweet sent out on Sunday morning, ESPN’s Joe Schad said Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Vinnie Sunseri will enter the upcoming NFL draft as opposed to returning to Tuscaloosa for his senior year.

Sunseri recorded 20 tackles during the 2013 regular season, intercepting two passes and returning both of them for touchdowns. He suffered an ACL injury early in the season, though, and didn’t play after Alabama beat the Kentucky Wildcats on October 12.
The 6-foot, 210-pound Sunseri was one of the Crimson Tide’s best defenders during his sophomore year in 2012. He finished the year with 54 tackles — good for fourth on the team — and recorded six tackles for a loss, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. He also finished ninth on the tam in tackles in 2011 on his way to being selected to the SEC All-Freshman team.
