Carolina Panthers’ safety Quintin Mikell will not return vs 49ers
By David Miniel
The Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers are battling it out to see who will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game.
If the 49ers are able to keep this lead they’ll be reaching the conference championship for the third time in the last three years.
Now the Carolina Panthers defense stepped up in a big way this year, which made a huge defense. That saying ‘Defense wins Championships’ is true. You can’t win a Super Bowl if your defense is dead in the water. They made some huge plays this year which resulted in a first round bye and the number two seed.
Right now their defense is trying to stop Colin Kaepernick and this fast offense on their home turf. Safety Quintin Mikell came to the Carolina Panthers after spending two years with the St. Louis Rams. He’s into his 10th year of his career and spent 90 percent of it with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mikell recorded 60 tackles and three sacks this year.
The first year Panther went down during the second quarter today after suffering some sort of foot injury. Now according to Matt Maiocco on Twitter, Quintin Mikell will not be able to return to the game.
