Arsenal Transfer Gossip: Wenger Set To Sign New Deal, Giovinco Agent Confirms Talks

Wenger Set To Pen New Deal
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is set to prolong his stay at the club by agreeing a deal to enter his 18th year as manager, according to reports in the Daily Star.
The club have sought to tie down a number of the club’s young er stars over the past 18 months, and now they are looking to secure the futures of three of their older statesmen.
Wenger, along with veteran defenders Bacary Sagna and Per Mertesacker, are set to sign new deals at the Emirates.
Gunners Eye £30m Newcastle Raid
Arsenal are set to test Newcastle’s resolve by making a giant £30m double bid for defender and midfield pair Davide Santon and Yohan Cabaye, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners had seen a £10m bid for the Frenchman rejected over the summer but are due to follow up on their interest despite being told that they will have to shell out £22m to even consider talking to him.
Santon had been on Wenger’s wish list whilst he was at Inter Milan, but ended up heading to St James’ Park instead.
Gunners Target Wanted Elsewhere
Auxerre striker, Paul-Georges Ntep, who has become a target for the Gunners recently is now wanted by Championship side Queens Park Rangers, according to Sports Direct News.
The 21-year-old has caught the attention of a number of sides across Europe after breaking into the French under-21 side, and Arsenal have been credited with a heavy interest.
However, they now face competition from the West London club as they look to continue their push to return to the Premier League and they would be able to offer him a significant wage and regular first team football.

Giovinco Agent Confirms Arsenal Talks
The agent of Italian international playmaker Sebastian Giovinco has confirmed that Arsenal are in talks with Juventus over a possible move to London, the Metro reports.
The diminutive midfield ace has not been able to hold down a regular spot during his time in Turin and has been targeted by the Gunners as cover for both Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner, who are both out with injuries.
Giovinco, 26, is said to be keen on a move away as he targets a spot in the Azzurri side ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
