Now that the Minnesota Vikings have officially named former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer as their new head coach, his first duty will be to sort through potential candidates to fill his coaching stuff.

Zimmer will need to find coordinators to lead the offense and defensive side of the ball, and it appears that a veteran NFL coach could be one of the leading candidates for the job.

According to reports, Norv Turner is the man who could find a new home in Minnesota.

From Adam Schefter of ESPN:

Zimmer’s specialty is on the defensive side of the ball, so it is more important than ever to find a capable offensive mind to help improve the offense.

While Turner could be a solid hire, you would have to wonder why the Vikings wouldn’t at least consider giving former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak for the job.
