We’re in the thick of the NBA Trade Rumors season, which means a lot of big names around the league are being discussed in possible moves. We’ve heard names from Omer Asik to Carmelo Anthony as well as Blake Griffin and Rajon Rondo mentioned in trades, but one name we aren’t hearing is Dwight Howard.

Rewind the clock a year ago and there are Dwight Howard trade rumors running while around the NBA. But Howard seems to have found a home (finally) in Houston and is happy that his trade rumor days are in the past.

Per Jessica Camerato of Basketball Insiders:

"“A lot of attention was on me and what teams were going to do that day. It’s tough. You have everybody asking what’s going to happen, what you’re going to do, all that stuff. I had a big headache and I was just happy when it was over with.”"

Frankly, we’re all happy that Dwight Howard’s trade rumor days are behind us as there has been a certain lack of aggravation among fans who no longer have to constantly hear about Howard and his situation. The trade rumors almost completely ruined Howard’s reputation too, one he’s piecing back together in Houston.

Almost every player in the NBA is subjected to trade rumors during a given season, but thankfully Dwight Howard is totally exempt this year, and fans everywhere couldn’t be happier.
