
Anthony Davis scored 27 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, blocked four shots, had four steals and dished out two assists, leading the New Orleans Pelicans to a 95-92 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana Monday evening.
Tryeke Evans had 15 points and seven assists off of the bench, Brian Roberts had 13 points, three assists and two rebounds and Eric Gordon added 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Zach Randolph had a monster game for the Grizzlies, finishing with 23 points, 20 rebounds and three assists.
The Grizzlies entered the fourth quarter with a one-point lead and the game went back and forth throughout the opening portion of the quarter before a 9-0 run gave the Pelicans an 85-76 lead. The Grizzlies cut the lead to two on a Courtney Lee jumper with a minute left, but Davis answered with a jumper 25 seconds later. Marc Gasol was fouled on the next possession, but hit just one of two free throws. Neither team would score again.
Lee finished with 19 points, Gasol scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists and Mike Conley added 13.
The Pelicans are now 16-24 and the Grizzlies are 20-20.
