Throughout the season, Detroit Pistons’ power forward Greg Monroe has been at the center of trade rumors. With the development of center Andre Drummond and the signing of forward Josh Smith in the offseason, it’s difficult to find a place for all of their parts.

Not only is it difficult to find a fit for everyone, but the Pistons, who were defeated by the Los Angeles Clippers 112-103 on Monday afternoon, are just 17-25 and could be considering starting over.

According to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, Monroe could be on his way out and his destination could be the Washington Wizards.

"With that said, it’s not every day that a 23-year-old big man with Monroe’s skill set and potential becomes available, so expect many other teams to emerge as possible suitors for Monroe as well. But since Monroe will be a restricted free agent, the Pistons can match any offer that he receives so getting the big man to sign an offer sheet doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll leave Detroit."

This season, Monroe is averaging 14.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
