Prior to the NFC Championship game, the baseball teams located in San Francisco and Seattle made a Twitter bet over the big football game. The bet was simple an innocent, but saw scores of baseball fans stake a claim in the NFC Championship game to see if their mascot would have to get shamed or not.

Had the San Francisco 49ers won the game, the Seattle Mariners mascot Mariner Moose would have had to taken a picture of himself ‘Kaepernicking’ and tweet it out to the world.

The 49ers didn’t win, and instead it was the San Francisco Giants mascot who was shamed in the Twitter bet. Unlike certain sports radio personalities of late, the Giants’ mascot Lou Seal held up his end of the best and tweeted out a picture of himself going #FeatMode and chowing down on a jar of Skittles.

Both ball clubs were pretty awful last year and both missed the postseason by considerable margins. But Seattle is the talk of the sports world, and the Mariners are going to ride their coattails for as long as they can.
