The draft pool for the 2014 Pro Bowl has had another last minute replacement, with New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie being named to the roster on the morning that the inaugural draft is set to kick off.
Cromartie will be filling in for New England Patriots corner Aqib Talib, who suffered a knee injury in the AFC Championship after a hit over the middle by Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker.
When the initial roster was named, the Jets had zero representatives in the upcoming all-star game, but now they will have two players in Hawaii.
Cromartie joins Jets center Nick Mangold as the two players representing New York’s AFC team.
The Pro Bowl will likely be the last time that Cromartie suits up with a Jets helmet. When the offseason begins, Cromartie is expected to be released.
