Patrick Beverly air balled a game-winning three-point attempt buzzer and the Memphis Grizzlies held off the Houston Rockets 88-87 at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas, Friday night.

Courtney Lee scored a team-high 19 points, Zach Randolph had 15 points and eight rebounds and Mike Conley had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Grizzlies.

The Rockets held the Grizzlies scoreless after Lee and James Johnson scored on back-to-back possessions to turn an 84-84 tie into a four-point Grizzlies’ lead with 1:58 to go. Chandler Parsons answered with a three seven seconds later, but like the Grizzlies, the Rockets would not score again.

Parsons had a huge game, finishing with 34 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including 10-of-14 shooting from beyond the arc, to go along with four rebounds.

The Rockets trailed by nine at the half, but used a 29-20 third quarter advantage to tie the game entering the fourth quarter.

Dwight Howard had 11 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks and James Harden had 10 points and 13 assists, but shot just two-of-11 from the field.

The Grizzlies are now 21-20 while the Rockets are 29-16.
