Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio had a brief stint as the team’s interim head coach earlier this season. Once John Fox was healthy enough to return to the team, Del Rio went back to his defensive coordinator roles and he was eventually linked to some head coaching vacancies during the offseason.

Del Rio decided to keep his focus on the Broncos Super Bowl run, but he still believes he will be getting another opportunity to be a head coach in the future.

“I feel like for me, I’m really blessed to be part of an organization that is playing for the world championship,” Del Rio said when speaking with the media.

“There certainly are opportunities each and every year, and at some point it will match up with what somebody’s looking for and what I offer. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy the heck out of my opportunity here to fight and find a way to win a world championship. I’m not going to spend a lot of time wondering if there was a lot of talk, a little talk or those types of things.”

If the Broncos are able to beat the Seattle Seahawks and hoist the Lombardi Trophy, then Del Rio could be one of the top candidates next offseason whenever jobs become available.
