Anthony Davis rejects kid’s shot in Foot Locker ad (Video)

This Foot Locker commercial starring New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis is just plain and simply awesome. When I first watched it the ad came across like the opposite of Cam Newton’s Play 60 ad. A kid is in hs driveway playing some basketball and painting the dream scenario out in his head, just like any kid about to hit a baseball utters bottom of the ninth, bases loaded before taking a swing.

Then out of nowhere, Davis comes in and blocks the shot. The kid is stunned only to listen to Davis ramble off a bunch of jargon after that. “Rejected by Anthony Davis” and “The crowd is shaking because they’ve never seen anything like it Davis says.

Then he gets in his car and drives off.
