Grizzlies at Timberwolves final score: Memphis wins 94-90
Zach Randolph scored 26 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies past the Minnesota Timberwolves 94-90 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota Friday night.
Randolph was 11-of-20 from the field, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out four assists in 40 minutes.
After falling behind by 13 at the break, the Timberwolves rallied in a the third quarter, outscoring the Grizzlies 30-16 to take a one-point lead into the final quarter. That set up an excellent back-and-forth fourth quarter.
Trailing 83-80, Grizzlies’ swingman Mike Miller cut the lead to one with 4:22 to play. A possession later, a seven-footer from Randolph gave the Grizzlies the lead. Dante Cunningham gave the Timberwolves the lead right back, but Randolph hit consecutive buckets and after another stop, a Tayshaun Prince three-pointer gave the Grizzlies a 91-85 lead that put the game away.
Courtney Lee finished with 16 points and Mike Conley had 12 points, eight assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Kevin Love led the Timberwolves with 28 points and 16 rebounds, Kevin Martin scored 14 and Cunningham and J.J. Barea added 12 points apiece.
The Grizzlies are 25-20 and the Timberwolves are 23-23.
