When drafted I remember telling myself this could be the missing piece to this offense. Since Dalton and AJ Green have that great connection every team knows that hookup will happen from time to time nonetheless another weapon on the field could really elevate their team game.

Bernard alongside Green-Ellis are two guys that bring something different to the game. Being that fast shifty type player Giovani had good success throughout his first season. Although he didn’t have a 100 yard game he did have a combined 1,200 yards in both rushing and receiving.

This year he also became the first Bengal to score a rushing and receiving touchdown (in a game) in his rookie season since 1989 (FB Craig Taylor). His final stats were: 16 games played, 695 yards rushing, 4.1 average, 514 receiving yards, 9.2 average, and eight total touchdowns.
