There was an interesting incident on the San Francisco 49ers sideline during the 2014 NFC Championship Game, where a player who has been able to keep his an identity a secret knocked down Seattle Seahawks gunner Jeremy Lane.

Lane was able to get right back up and continue running down the sideline, but the league launched an investigation into the incident to see if their was any intentional contact.

After their review, it appears that the NFL didn’t see any blatant wrongdoing.

There could have been a steep fine like we have seen with previous sideline incidents, but the league ultimately decided to issue the 49ers a warning instead and the situation can now be put behind everyone.
