The Dallas Mavericks feel that they’re just one piece away from being true title contenders in the Western Conference. The team already feels they can contend, but adding one more solid piece could very well put them over the top and in the mix for real title consideration.

Not many guys on the roster seem like players the Mavs would be willing to move, as Monta Ellis is a name that pops up but is reportedly not going to be shopped. Instead, Eddie Sefko from SportsDayDFW reports Wayne Ellington is the most likely name to be moved by the deadline if anyone is moved at all.

"The one guy who I’d say could be available would be Wayne Ellington, who I still believe is good enough to be in the rotation but simply can’t earn any minutes. His $2.5 million next season would be easy to trade and the Mavericks could add that to the $34 million they already are going to have this summer if they could bring back an expiring contract."

Ellington is an interesting name to float, but he may not garner that much attention on the market. Still, the Mavericks may be able to get something for him and it appears the’s the only name we will see move out of Dallas before the deadline.
