The Boston Celtics come up in trade talks as much or more than any other team in the league.
They have already made a few deals this season, trading shooting guard Courtney Lee to the Memphis Grizzlies and guard Jordan Crawford to the Golden State Warriors.
Plus, they would like to get out of small forward Jeff Green’s contract and it appears point guard Rajon Rondo is also available.
However, head coach Brad Stevens doesn’t anticipate his team being very active in the next couple of days.
“I’m not anticipating that, nor am I looking at that,” Stevens told Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston. “I’m looking at the guys that are here. And I have been looking at the guys that are here the whole time, and told them that today. I think the trading deadline is going to be full of rumors and part of it is, because there’s a deadline on Thursday, more are going to be created.”
Of course, Stevens wouldn’t tip his hat even if he knew the Celtics were making a move.
