The NBA trade deadline is just a day away and already teams are starting it hammer out potential deals that could change their fortunes in the second half of the season. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been after Memphis Grizzlies’ Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince for the past 48 hours and a deal seems to be gaining momentum.

But Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports is saying that the brakes need to be pumped because the Grizzlies are resisting the deal for the time being.

The deal might likely happen, as it makes little sense to agree to a trade with more than 24 hours to go until the deadline passes. The Grizzlies likely want to see how far the Wolves will go in acquiring Prince and Allen, which is probably why the deal is being held up.

Still, it’s not a done deal yet and until it is, this will just be another one of the rumors floating around, even if it carries more traction than your average deadline rumor.
