Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has been one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, but he will be turning 33 years old before the start of the 2014-15 regular season and many are wondering whether he is beginning to slow down.

As far as Johnson is concerned, he has plenty of football left in him and does not plan on retiring anytime soon.

“Everybody knows that day when it’s over,” he said, via the Houston Chronicle. “When that day comes, I’ll have no problem stepping away. But right now I feel fine. I feel like I still have a few more years left in me.”

Johnson is under contract in Houston through the 2016 season, so perhaps once that deal runs out it will be time to start thinking about what would be next.

For now, the Texans have an impressive duo of wide receivers with the veteran Johnson and youngster DeAndre Hopkins. Now, if only they could get a quarterback to throw them the ball.
