Several teams are interested in acquiring Cleveland Cavaliers’ reserve point guard Jarrett Jack.
Jack hasn’t worked out as well as the Cavaliers had hoped and they would love to rid themselves of the four-year, $25.2 million deal he signed in the offseason.
The Brooklyn Nets appeared to be interested, but wouldn’t give up any assets for Jack, cooled on him and traded Jason Terry and Reggie Evans to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Marcus Thornton instead. The Washington Wizards could be interested as they desperately try to replace Eric Maynor, but the price is probably too steep. The Golden State Warriors had real interest, but did not want to give up Harrison Barnes and instead traded for Los Angeles Lakers’ point guard Steve Blake.
That leaves the Sacramento Kings, who have liked Jack for awhile. They have been discussing a swap of Jack and Jason Thompson, but there is a holdup. The Cavaliers don’t want Thompson.
ESPN has learned Cavs are in talks w/Sacramento on deal to swap Jarrett Jack for Jason Thompson. BUT Cavs looking for third team to route JT

As talks currently stand, I'm told Cavs NOT inclined to send Jarrett Jack to Sacramento UNLESS they find third team to take Jason Thompson

Jack is averaging 8.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game while Thompson is putting up 7.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
