NBA Rumors: John Wall, Bradley Beal don’t think Washington Wizards need changes
The Washington Wizards were expected to be one of the more aggressive teams as Thursday’s trade deadline approached.
That, however, has not been the case.
The Wizards are desperately searching for a point guard and are considered one of the favorites to land Andre Miller of the Denver Nuggets. They’re also chasing New York Knicks’ point guard Beno Udrih.
The Wizards have been tied to Cleveland Cavaliers’ forward Luol Deng, but those talks don’t appear to have any traction.
Wizards’ All-Star point guard John Wall thinks the team is fine as it is.
“I haven’t really talked to the front office people. If they feel like we need a piece, they’ll make a move. But I like the group of guys I’m with,” Wall told Michael Lee of the Washington Post. “When we all play together as a team and we all connect, we’re a tough team to beat. But when we’re being selfish, we don’t have one guy who can do that on a consistent basis.”
His running mate agrees.
“With the chemistry we have & the guys we have, we feel as though we really don’t need to make any changes,” guard Bradley Beal told Lee.
The trade deadline is at 3:00 pm EST.
