After a 48 period that was filled with a lot of hearsay and rumors, the New York Knicks have failed to make a deal before the NBA trade deadline passed at 3pm ET Thursday afternoon. While the Knicks tried to make a deal that would have landed them Darren Collison from the Los Angeles Clippers, they instead are going to be standing apt and will not be pulling the trigger on any deals.

Despite the last minute anticipation, the Knicks failed to trade Shumpert, missed out on giving up Beno Udrih to the Nuggets and are stuck having made no deals in an otherwise boring (see: typical) deadline.

There was little hope that the Knicks were going to pull off a trade, as they’ve been looking to do so as far back as late 2013 and haven’t pulled the trigger. They flirted hard with the idea right down to the wire but came up empty in the end.
