The NBA trade deadline is just hours away and already it appears that some of the trade that looked possibly 24 hours ago are starting to fall apart. While nothing was publicly proposed to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ken Berger from CBSSports.com is reporting that teams are losing traction in trade talks for Cavs forward Luol Deng.
In fact, Berger notes that there may not have been any traction to begin with when it came to teams like the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons acquiring Deng from Cleveland.
There's no traction with Detroit or Washington on a Luol Deng deal, sources say. Cavs continuing to explore options.

Phoenix, too, has resisted Cleveland's efforts to secure a first-round pick for Deng, who will be unrestricted after the season.

While it’s still entirely possible that the Cavs will move on from Deng, it’s also likely that he stays with the team. The rumor mill is spinning out of control and we won’t truly know what happens until the deadline has passed and the dust begins to settle.
